Motricity Hires Four Executives

Bellevue, Wash.-based mobile data services provider Motricity Inc. announced Monday that it has added four names to its executive roster. The company said it has hired Jim Smith as president and chief operating officer, Richard Leigh as senior vice president and general counsel, Deepak Dhawan as senior vice president of solutions and services, and Abe Danzinger as vice president of sales engineering. Previously, Motricity said, Smith was a senior executive at communications firm Avaya. Prior to joining Motricity, the company noted, Leigh served as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Cell Therapeutics Inc. Dhawan, Motricity added, hails from RealNetworks and Danzinger earlier worked at Avolent as senior vice president of services.
