Movaya, PressOk In Development Joint Venture

Seattle-based Movaya and PressOK have made an interesting move, saying Tuesday that they will enter into a joint venture to share their developer teams. According to the firms, they will double up their capacity by combining efforts of Reaxion's Moscow, Russia and Minsk, Belarus operations with Movaya's development team in Chengdu, China. The firms said the effort will allow them to scale out their development infrastructure without increasing costs. Financial details of the move were not disclosed. Both of the firms develop applications for the mobile space. PressOK develops mobile games and applicaitons for J2ME, Blackberry, iPhone, Android, BREW, Symbian, and Windows Mobile platforms; Movaya develops mobile content management tools that easily allow mobile developers to sell their mobile content. PressOK was the result of the merger of Reaxion Corp. and Mobliss in September. Phil Yerkes, CEO of Movaya, told Northwest Innovation that the move comes as the firm has expanded over the last six months from the firm's mobile content distribution tools into new areas such as game development.
