    MyStrands Dangles $100,000 To Recommendation Startups


    Corvallis, Oregon-based MyStrands, which is developing social recommendation software, said Wednesday that it is offering an investment of $100,000 from the firms which are developing projects in the area of recommendation technology. According to the firm, it will select five finalists to present their projects to the company, and will offer $100,000 in an investment to the winner. The selection will take place at the ACM COnference on Recommender Systems. MyStrands, itself a startup, has raised more than $55M in venture funding from BBVA and Debaueque.
