NanoString Adds McLean as Marketing VP

NanoString Technologies Inc., a developer of molecular-tagging technology, reported Monday that it has hired Lianne McLean as vice president of marketing. NanoString said McLean comes to the firm from Applied Biosystems, where she served as director of global strategic marketing in the molecular cell biology division. Prior to that, she spent six years at Affymetrix, NanoString said, adding that she also spent five years at Roche Molecular Diagnostics and Chiron Diagnostics. Headquartered in Seattle, NanoString Technologies has devised a method for tagging individual molecules in a biological sample with microscopic barcodes.
