NanoString Technologies Gets $30M

Seattle-based NanoString Technologies, a developer of life sciences technology for characterizing biological samples, said today that the firm has raised $30M in a Series C equity financing. According to the firm, the round was led by Clarus Ventures, and included prior investors OVP Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Clarus Ventures' Nicholas Galakatos joins the board along with the funding round. The company said the funding will go towards accelerating commercialization of its nCounter Analysis System. The financing round brings the company's total raised to around $42.8M, since its Series A in August of 2004. More information »
