NetMotion Wireless Gets Patent
Seattle-based NetMotion Wireless, a developer of mobile productivity software, said it has scored a U.S. Patent. According to the firm, it received U.S. Patent number 7,644,171, entitled "Mobile Networking System and Method Using IPv4 and IPv6", covering technology used by the firm to maintain secure mobile communications over mixed IPv4 and IPv6 networks. According to the U.S. PTO, inventors on the patent are Emil A. Sturniolo, Joseph T. Savarese, Erik Olson, and Eli Patashnik. The patent was filed in October of 2005. NetMotion said the patent will be the firm's 11th.
