    New Edge, Sega In Broadband Gaming Deal


    Vancouver, Washington-based New Edge Networks said this week that Sega Amusements USA and the firm have reached an agreement for the firm to provide high-speed broadband connections to connect Sega's coin-operated games. Sega will package business-class DSL lines from New Edge Networks as part of a new, networked game offering called ALL.Net. The new platform will enable Sega to download game updates, monitor game availability, and provide for online access to results, rankings, and national and regional tournaments. New Edge will install and maintain all of the broadband connections to the games. financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. New Edge Networks is a subsidiary of EarthLink.
