![]() Thursday, August 16, 2007 New Edge Gets ContractVancouver, Washington-based New Edge Networks, which builds and manages private networks for businesses and communications providers, revealed earlier this week that it has won a contract to construct and supervise a private communications network for a regional short-term lending institution, Express Check Advance LLC. Terms of the two-year deal were not disclosed. New Edge explained that Express provides payday cash advances to workers in the Southeast. New Edge said Express' new, DSL-based network will link 140 branch locations in seven states with the company's headquarters in Chattanooga, Tenn. New Edge added that it expects to complete the installation of the network later this month. New Edge is a wholly owned subsidiary of Internet service provider EarthLink Inc. posted on Thursday, August 16, 2007
