New Edge Signs Logistics Firm
New Edge Networks, the business communications unit for Atlanta-based ISP EarthLink Inc., revealed Tuesday that it is powering a new national wide-area network for cash logistics firm Garda USA. Formerly known as AT Systems Inc., Garda recently migrated to a private, multi-protocol, label-switching wide-area network that New Edge designed and is managing. New Edge, which is headquartered in Vancouver, Wash., said the MPLS network is worth more than $6 million and links some 150 branches and money rooms with redundant communications access to data centers in Dallas and Denver.
