    New Relic Gets Funding, Looks To Bolster Portland Staff


    New Relic, a San Francisco-based firm developing Ruby on Rails software, said today that it has raised $3.5M from Benchmark Capital. According to a company spokesperson, the firm's Portland office is home to a growing department of the firm's Rails developers. New Relic develops software for managing Ruby on Rails software application performance; Ruby on Rails is a popular language for developing web applications. The firm told Northwest Innovation that it will definitely be growing its Portland group as the company expands.
