    Mentor Graphics Adds PCI Express Verification
    Wilsonville, Oregon-based Mentor Graphics, a developer of electronic design automation (EDA) software, announced a new software product for verifying PCI Express products today. According to Mentor Graphics, the new software enables designers to test PCI Express systems.     Amazon.com Buys Fabric.com
    Seattle-based online retailer Amazon.com said this morning that it has purchased Fabric.com, an online fabric store. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Fabric.com is based in Marietta, Georgia, where the firm will continue to function as a stand-alon operation. Amazon.com said the buy will allow it to expand its selection of fabrics and accessories in the sewing, craft, and hobby segment. Fabric.com was founded in 1999 by Stephen Friedman, who is also the firm's CEO.

    RealNetworks Shakes Up Executives
    Seattle-based RealNetworks said late Tuesday that the firm has reorganized its operating structure, and promoted three of its executives. RealNetworks said that it has promoted John Giamatteo to Chief Operating Officer, Harold Zeitz to Chief Operating Officer of its Games Division, and appointed Mike Lunsford as Executive Vice President of its Strategic Ventures.
