    Jott Releases iPhone Support
    Seattle-based Jott Networks, which provides a service which takes phone messages and transcribes those into text to-do lists, has released a new iPhone application, the company told its users today. According to Founder and CEO John Pollard in an email to users, the new iPhone application was one of the first applications in Apple App Store, and is available for free. The Jott for iPhone application allows users to track lists, appointments, and use their voice to leave notes.

    Pure Networks Acquired By Cisco For $120M
    Seattle-based Pure Networks, a developer of home networking management software, has been acquired by Cisco, Cisco said today. Cisco said it would pay $120M to buy Pure Networks, which develops software which is used by consumers to set up and manage their home networking hardware. Pure Networks' software is being used by Cisco's Linksys division under the Linksys Easy Link Advisor software line. Cisco said that Pure Networks will remain in Seattle, as part of its Linksys group, reporting to Lin (More info...)

    Interview with Derek Johnson, Tatango

    Today's interview is with Derek Johnson, founder of an angel-funded startup, Tatango (www.tatango.com), the latest incarnation of Derek's firm networkText. Tatango is an instant messaging service focused on connecting groups together, which recently launched a public beta of its services. The firm has scored funding from the Bellingham Angels. Tatango is based in Bellingham, Washington, which is about an hour outside of Seattle.

    Visible Technologies In Strategic Partnership
    Seattle-based Visible Technologies, a publisher of social media-monitoring and engagement applications, revealed Tuesday that it has established a strategic alliance with Alt., a Web-focused, full-service independent marketing agency. According to Visible, Alt. will offer Visible's social media management software platform, TruCast, to Alt.'s clients. Visible's TruCast product is used to monitor social media like blogs, and online forums, with a focus on mentions of specific products and brands. (More info...)
