![]() Friday, July 25, 2008 Voyager Capital Invests In Berkeley Firm Seattle-based venture capital firm Voyager Capital has led an investment in a Berkeley, California firm in the wireless sensor area, Sensys Networks. Sensys Networks said Friday that it has raised $5M in a round which was led by Voyager Capital. Voyager Capital's Managing Director, Curtis Feeny, has joined the board of directors of Sensys. Feeny also sits on the boards of CB Richard Ellis, Contivo, Tropos Networks, and Verari Systems. posted on Friday, July 25, 2008 (More)(Full story) RF Surgical Systems Takes $8.2M Bellevue-based RF Surgical Systems said this morning that it has raised $8.2M in a Series A round of venture funding. The funding came from Menlo Ventures and Stanford University. According to the firm, the funding brings the company's total raised this year to over $12M, and to a total of over $20M since the inception of the company. RF Surgical Systems develops a surgical sponge detection system which looks for surgical sponges and other items in patients before surgical closing. According to PopCap, its popular Peggle game, and two new puzzle games, Amazing Adventures The Forgotten Ruins and Mystery P.I. -- Portrait of a Thief, will all ship this Winter for the Nintendo DS.
