The service--which allows users to send text messages to a group--has been in beta since July. According to Derek Johnson, founder and CEO of the firm, the exit from beta also comes in addition to a new front page design to do a better job of conveying what the firm does. Tatango is angel-backed by the Bellingham Angels. posted on Friday, September 5, 2008(Full story) drugstore.com Restructures Deal With Rite Aid Bellevue, Washington-based drugstore.com said Thursday afternoon that the firm has inked a new deal with Rite Aid, to run a new, over-the-counter store for Rite Aid, and has returned the rights to picking up prescriptions back to Rite Aid. drugstore.com said that Rite Aid will pay the firm approximately $10M in ten monthly installments to power the new store, as well as for the rights to online pick up of prescriptions at Rite Aid. The firm said that it has signed on Crosscut, Sun Valley Online, Pegasus News, ITZ Publishing, and KGORadio.com. The firm did not disclose financial terms of the deals, but said that the firms are using its video advertising platform. Mixpo's platform allows advertisers to create and deploy their ads on those sites and blogs. Aculight provides countermeasures, laser radar, and other products for the defense and aerospace industry. Lockheed originally announced the acquisition in July.
