    Redfin Launch Crashes Site
    Seattle-based Redfin's launch of a website update stumbled Thursday, as traffic to the site caused a outage from roughly 6:40am until 9am, with intermittent access through the afternoon. The firm--which announced a rollout of a new update which featured significantly more photos and data on prior sales Thursday morning--said the web site is up, but that the firm is still looking to resolve the root cause of the issue.     Clearwire Hires Two New Execs
    Kirkland-based wireless firm Clearwire said Thursday afternoon that it has named two new senior executives, who will help the firm with its market expansion plans. Clearwire said that David D. maquera has joined as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, and Thomas Enraght-Moon as Senior Vice President and General Manager of CLEAR Online.     Redfin Boosts Data, Photos, Blog Links
    Seattle-based Redfin said Thursday that it has upgraded its real estate web site, and is now returning details, photos, and prices of every property sold in the past two years in the areas that it serves. The firm said the updates added 9 million photos of 1.4 million, recently sold properties to the service.     Light Sciences Oncology Gets $23.4M Credit Facility
    Bellevue-based Light Sciences Oncology has scored $23.35M in a credit facility, according to a regulatory filing from the firm Thursday. According to the filing, the firm received $23,347,833 as part of a credit facility, which came from 17 investors. The deal also includes $11.7M in warrant coverage. No details on the funding have been announced by Light Sciences, which is developing treatments for solid tumors and benign neoplasms.

    Classmates Cuts 71 Jobs
    Seattle-based Classmates.com, an online site which helps people connect with old friends and classmates, has cut 71 employees, according to the firm's parent, United Online. United Online announced the cuts, part of a restructuring at the company, during its conference call Wednesday afternoon. United Online said that the reduction in force occurred Tuesday, and represented 17% of its workforce in the Classmates segment.     Report: RealNetworks To Cut 70 Jobs
    A report today from the WSJ's Kara Swisher, says that Seattle's RealNetworks is cutting 70 employees today. The report was attributed to sources close to the firm. The cuts represent around 4% of the company's workforce. The cuts follow a cut of 800 employees by Microsoft yesterday, in what looks like a bad week for Seattle's high tech employment picture.

    Frazier Technology Ventures' Len Jordan Joins Madrona As FTV Winds Down
    Seattle-based Madrona Venture Group said Wednesday that Len Jordan, General Partners at Frazier Technology Ventures, is joining the firm, as FTV winds down its investing activities. According to Madrona, Jordan will join the firm effective the first of next year, and will identify and lead new portfolio investments out of its most recent, $250M fund.     Clearwire Expands Into Philadelphia
    Kirkland-based Clearwire said today that the firm is expanding its service into Philadelphia, and has named a General Manager for the market. Clearwire said that Andrew Kupiec has been named GM for the Philadelphia market, as the firm launches consumer availability of the service in the city. The wireless carrier said that Philadelphia residents can sign up for its service on its web site, and also at four, CLEAR retail stores rceently opened in the area.
