NIKE Acquires Computer Vision Company

Beaverton, Orgeon-based Nike is furthering its reach into the world of technology, saying Monday afternoon that it has acquired Invertex Ltd., a computer vision firm based in Israel. According to Nike, the team at Invertex will help it build "groundbreaking innovations", and will also strengthen its digital technology and talent. Invertex Ltd. is based in Tel Aviv. Financial details of the buy were not announced. Nike's Chief Digital Officer, Adam Sussman, said the deal will further Nike's capabilities in computer vision and artificial intelligence.
