Northwest Logic Certifies PCI Express Core

Beaverton, Oregon-based Northwest Logic, a developer of IP semiconductor cores, said today with its partner Avery Design Systems that the two have fully verified and deployed Northwest Logic's Expresso 3.0 solutions for PCI Express. Northwest Logic is a developer of IP semiconductor cores for the PCI Express bus standard, used to implement PCI Express in chips by third parties. IP cores are used by semiconductor designers to implement pre-tested logic on their chips, without having to design and implement their own circuit designs for those functions.
