    Northwest Telephone Acquired by Zayo


    Wenatchee, Washington-based Northwest Telephone, Inc., a provider of competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) and interchange carrier (IXC) services, has been acquired by Zayo Bandwidth, a Colorado-based communications provider. Zayo did not disclose financial terms of the deal, but said it has acquired NTI for its Washington, Oregon, and Idaho bandwidth. NTI will become part of Zayo's Zayo Bandwidth unit. NTI was founded in 1999, and operates a fiber optic network with 1,500 miles of fiber in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
