Optify Gets $6.1M More

Seattle-based Optify, the provider of search engine optimization and social media software run by Brian Goffman, said today that it has raised another $6.1M. The funding came from Triangle Peak Partners, which led the round, along with current investor Madrona Venture Group. Optify also said a number of angels participated in the new funding, including Mark Wachen (Upstage Ventures/Optimost/Autonomy), Bill Baker (GM of Microsoft SQL Server), Alan Axelrod (Axelrod Capital/Goldman Sachs), and John Cunningham (Clear Fir Partners/AudienceScience/InfoSpace). As part of the funding, Triangle Peak Partners' David Peskioff joins the company's board. Optify's software is used by businesses to increase their traffic from SEO and social media; the firm says its clients include LexisNexis, Microsoft, Marchex, SchemaLogic, Corensic, The St. Petersburg Times, Payscale, AdReady and Varolii.
