Organic To Go Chops 30 Percent

Seattle-based Organic To Go, a retail chain focused on organic and healthy foods, said late Wednesday that it is cutting 30 percent of its employees, as it reported operating results below its expectations. According to the firm, the cuts were made as a part of "aggressive" steps to drive operational and labor costs down in Q4. The number of employees affected by the move was not disclosed. The firm also said it cut plans to open three additional locations in Washington, DC. Publicly held Organic To Go is venture backed by Inventages Venture Capital and other venture investors.
