Outerwall Aims At E-Waste

Bellevue-based Outerwall says it is ramping up its efforts to collect e-waste via its ecoATM recycling kiosks, saying that it expects to collect at least two million pounds of mobile phones, tablets, and other devices and accessories through those kiosks over the next three years. The company--which pays users for those devices, depending on resale value--said it wants to help reduce the amount of e-waste going to landfills through its efforts. The company trumped its recycling efforts at the Clinton Global Initiative Meeting yesterday.
