The latest venture capital numbers from PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association, based on data from Thomson Reuters, was released this evening, finding that the Pacific Northwest saw $193.4M investments in Q3. According to the report, $171.1M was invested in the state of Washington across 29 deals, and $22.3M invested in Oregon across just 9 investments. Both Washington and Oregon saw drops in investment quarter to quarter, with Washington down from $194.4M and 40 deals in Q2, and Oregon down from 7 deals and $60.8M invested. Nationwide, the picture was similar, with investment totals nationwide down 31 percent in dollars, and 19 percent in terms of the number of deals from Q2, as investment in all sectors slowed. Nationwide, $4.8 billion was invested in 780 venture capital deals for Q3.
