Pacific Northwest Venture Totals Rise To $408.7M In Q2

Venture capital investments in the Pacific Northwest rose to $408.7M in Q2 of 2014, according to the numbers released last night by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association in their quarterly Money Tree report. According to the report, Washington saw $359.23M across 32 investments, and Oregon saw $49.54M in six investments for the quarter. Those numbers are significantly above the $236.1M invested in the area in Q1.

Nationally, there was $13.0 billion invested in companies across the nation, which PwC and the NVCA said was the highest level since Q4 of 2000. Those numbers were 34 percent higher in terms of dollars, and 13 percent in the number of deals compared with the first quarter of the year.
