Parallels Launches iPhone App For Remote Access

Renton, Washington-based Parallels, the software developer which makes desktop virtualization and other related software, said today that it has launched a new, mobile application for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The firm said the new Parallels Mobile app, being released with Parallels Desktop7 for Mac, allows users to control their Mac--including both OS X Lion and Windows--from their mobile device. Parallels said the app will allow users with full control to access applications, files, and data on either the Mac or Windows programs running on Parallels. The new app will cost $4.99 via an introductory price, eventually costing $19.99 from the App Store.
