Partovi Brothers Back AI Hardware Startup

Ali and Hadi Partovi--the tech moguls with close ties to Seattle, who have invested in such companies as Zappos and Airbnb--have put their dollars behind a new startup developing hardware aimed at accelerating artificial intelligence. According to Nervana Systems, the two Partovi brothers led a $600,000 round for the company, which also included Sam Altman, Geoff Ralston, Scott Banister, Owen Van Natta, Eric Baker, Farzad Khosrowshahi, Dara Khosrowshahi, Allen & Co., Aditya Agrawal, Ruchi Sanghvi, and SV Angels.
