Pirq Raises $1.95M

Kirkland-based Pirq, the mobile restaurant coupon site run by James Sun, said Thursday that it has raised $1.95M in a new round of funding. The funding came from Rally Capital. Pirq is Sun's latest startup, and offers users location-based daily deals in the Seattle area. Sun is known for his role on "The Apprentice", and was previously founder of online business networking site Zoodango. A regulatory filing indicates the funding was $1,500,000 preferred stock and $450,000 debt converted to preferred stock, and that Pirq is looking to raise a total of $5.0M in the round.
