Placed Finds $3.4M

Seattle-based Placed, the provider of location-based analytics software which was previously known as Sewichi, said today that it has raised a $3.4M, Series A funding round. The funding was led by Madrona Venture Group, and included Shane Atchison, CEO of Possible Worldwide. Matt McIlwain of Madrona has joined the company's board along with the funding round. Placed provides analytics software used by app developers, to determine exactly where in the physical world their user are located. Placed is headed by founder and CEO David Shim. More information »
