    Pluggd Raises $6M

Seattle-based Pluggd said today that it has raised $6M in a Series A investment. The round came from Intel Capital, which led the investment, along with DFJ Frontier and Labrador Ventures, along with angels. Pluggd said the funding will be used to accelerate product development, boost hiring, and build partnerships for the firm. Pluggd develops technology used to search video and place relevant ads alongside that video inventory. Ian Sobieski of the Band of Angels, and Scott Lenet of DFJ Frontier have joined the firm's board, and Gustavo Aray of Intel Capital joins as an observer.
