![]() Tuesday, August 19, 2008 PopCap's Bejeweled Hits 25M Unit MarkSeattle-based casual games firm PopCap Games announced Tuesday that the firm's popular Bejeweled video game has just hit the 25 million units sold mark. According to PopCap, the total includes both Bejeweled and Bejeweled 2, which is sold on the Web, mobile, in retail stores, in-flight games, and elsewhere. The title has been out since late 2000, and is the top selling game for PopCap. In a statement, Jason Kapalka, the firm's Chief Creative Officer and co-founder, said that PopCap once tried to sell Bejeweled to a firm in the early days of the firm. Kaplaka explained that the firm wasn't able to-- "even after reducing our asking price to $60,000." posted on Tuesday, August 19, 2008
