Portland Seed Fund Names New Class

The Portland Seed Fund accelerator announced its new class of startups on Friday, adding eight new companies to its list of firms. According to the group, which is led by Jim Huston and Angela Jackson, the new firms in the program include Beeminder, which develops goal setting apps; Gliph, an online networking app focus on privacy; Globe Sherpa, providing mobile ticketing for transit; Good Works Now, cloud based tools for nonprofits; Indow Windows, thermal window inserts; SERPS, SEO monitoring tools; and Showkicker, a crowd booking platform for live music. The Portland Seed Fund's first class graduated in November, and according to the group raised $3M in investments.
