Pro.com Takes On Home Project Pricing With $3.5M

Seattle continues to prove itself the center of the world of online real estate startups, with the launch of Pro.com, a new site which lets homeowners figure out the price of home services for the various projects on their home improvement and repair list. The startup--founded by Matt Williams--also said it has raised $3.5M in seed funding, from Madrona Venture Group, Andreessen Horowitz, Redpoint Ventures, Bezos Expeditions, Two Sigma Ventures, and Sherpa Foundry. Williams and his co-founders are former Amazon executives; Williams sold his last company, LiveBid.com, to Amazon in 1999. More information »
