Hillsboro, Oregon-based RadiSys, a developer of embedded computing products, said Thursday that the firm has linked up with LCR Electronics, a manufacturer of ruggedized backplanes and chassis systems, on a deal to provide AdvancedTCA platform to the military, aerospace, and government. The firm s said that they will create a ruggized ATCA platform specifically for use in aircraft, ships, and ground mobile equipment. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. ATCA is a standard being used to interconnect hardware such as PCs, networking cards, and other electronics in telecom, defense, and other areas.
