RealNetworks Appoints VP

Seattle-based RealNetworks said this morning that it has promoted Scott Uomoto to Senior Vice President. Uomoto has been at RealNetworks for more than nine years, and oversees the firm's sales, marketing, and operations of its RealPlayer, SuperPass, and Helix products. The firm also says Uomoto also manages its new Unifi media cloud service.
