Recon Instruments Acquired By Intel

Vancouver, BC-based Recon Instruments, which develops heads-up-displays aimed at the sports and other environments, has been acquired by Intel, the companies said Wednesday. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Recon makes heads up eyewear displays in the form of sunglasses, snow goggles, and other eyewear, which provides information such as speed, distance direction, and other information in action sports. Intel had been a backer of Recon, which received a funding from Intel Capital in 2013.
