Redfin Expands Into Boston, Rebrands Web Site

Seattle-based online real estate brokerage firm Redfin said today that it has launched its services into Boston, as the firm continues its national expansion. The move is the first onto the East Coast for Redfin, which recently launched its services in the Bay Area and Southern California. Separately, Redfin said that it has launched a new version of its web site, in part due to a threated lawsuit by online real estate firm Move.com. Redfin said Move.com had threated litigation against the firm for its logo, which included a house within a circle, similar to a trademark registered by Move.com. Redfin also said it has added simpler navigation and better performance on the site.
