Online real estate broker Redfin Corp. said Tuesday that it has launched a series of local message boards tailored for the do-it-yourself real estate market. Redfin said that, unlike boards that connect consumers with real estate agents, Redfin Forums were designed to allow consumers to communicate with one another. The firm has also enhanced its search capabilities on the site, with ability to filter out pending sales, lot sizes, and year built. Redfin operates an online real estate brokerage that provides discounted real estate fees, and has received venture capital from BEV Capital, Madrona Venture Group, The Hillman Company, and Vulcan Capital.
