Report: Microsoft Buys Videosurf




Redmond-based Microsoft has acquired VideoSurf, a startup developing a video search engine, according to a report from an Israeli news site. According to Calcalist, Microsoft paid around $70M for VideoSurf, which is based in San Mateo, California. VideoSurf develops a video search engine which indexes and searches videos from YouTube, Facebook, and other sites.
