Report: Microsoft Mulls Selling IPTV Business To Ericsson

Bellevue-based Microsoft may be looking to unload its IPTV business to set-top-box maker Ericsson AB, according to a report today. Bloomberg said the deal is expected to be announced in a few weeks. The report cited people familiar with the plans. Microsoft's software is used in such IPTV products as AT&T's U-Verse service.
