Rob Monster, head of Seattle-based venture capital firm Monster Venture Partners, has launched a new venture based in Virginia, focused on patents. Patents.com, which launched earlier this month, provides an online web site for searching and finding patents. According to the firm, it will allow users to search for patents in English, Japanese, and Korean, and is focused on helping scientists, engineers, and patent professionals find, buy, sell, and license patents. Monster is co-founder and Chairman of the new firm, which is based in Sterling, Virginia with offices in Bellevue.
