Robert McNeel & Associates Inks Interop Deal

Seattle-based Robert McNeel & Associates and Mass.-based SpaceClaim said Thursday that it has inked an interoperability deal. Robert McNeel & Associates develops surface styling software; SpaceClaim develops 3D CADN modeling products. According to the firms, the deal will allow product stylists to include 3D mechnical design elements from Robert McNeel & Associates' Rhino freeform modeling tool from within SpaceClaim. SpaceClaim is venture backed by Borealis Ventures, Kodiak Venture Partners, and North Bridge Venture Partners.
