Rumblefish Takes On YouTube Music Licensing

Portland-based Rumblefish, a provider of licensed music, said today that it has launched a new effort to provide licensed music for use in YouTube videos. According to the firm, it has launched a new site called Friendly Music, which allows users to purchase lifetime music licenses on music tracks, and edit that music into their YouTube videos. Rumblefish said its site contains a catalog of copyright-cleared music, which will help Youtube users to avoid getting their videos removed from the site due to copyright infringement. The songs will cost $1.99 per video for licensing.
