 Tuesday, March 11, 2008 Seattle Among Fastest Growing Regions For Venture CapitalThe National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) and PricewaterhouseCoopers are reporting that Seattle is among the five fastest growing regions in the nation for venture capital. According to a report released Tuesday, Seattle was ranked third in the nation for growth between 1997 and 2007 in venture investing. The report found that Seattle had a 103% increase in companies, and 211% increase in dollars invested in the region between 1997 and 2007. Indutries highlighted by the report included Software, Life Sciences, and Media and Entertainment; the report found that Ignition Partners, Madrona Venture Capital, and OVP were the most active investors in the region. posted on Tuesday, March 11, 2008
