Seattle Continues To Rank Number 5 In IT Jobs

A recently released report by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has found that Seattle continues to be the number 5 market in the nation for IT jobs, and also reports that the area is seeing a growing share of the nation's IT employment. The report, which analyzed Silicon Valley IT employment, found that Seattle has been seeing a steady growth in IT jobs since 1990, based on information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the American Electronics Association. The report said that Seattle's share of IT jobs has been showing a steady upward movement, and attributed the growth to the area's orientation toward the services component of IT.
