SecondSpace Names New CEO, Founder Pereira Leaves

Bellevue-based SecondSpace, an online marketplace for vacation and second homes, said today that the firm has named Satbir Khanuja as the firm's President and CEO. Khanuja replaces founder and former CEO Anil H.P. Pereira, who the firm says is relocating to Silicon Valley. SecondSpace also said that Pereiera will continue to serve the company as a strategic advisor. Khanuja has been at SecondSpace since the fall of 2006, and has also served at Amazon.com and McKinsey & Company. The company is venture backed by Ignition Partners. SecondSpace did not give reasons for Pereira's departure, or where he is headed, except to say that Pereira is leaving to "engage in new technology endeavors."
