    Serveron Acquired By Energy Firm


    Hillsboro, Oregon-based Serveron, a provider of technology for energy monitoring, has been acquired by BPL Global Ltd. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. BPL, which develops "smart grid" technology, said that Serveron will become a division of BPL Global, and continue to maintain its headquarters near Portland, Oregon. Todd Jaquez-Fissori of Siemens Venture Capital, and John Fox, of Perseus LLC, will join BPL Global's board as a result of he acquisition; Siemens and Perseus were both backers of ServerOn. ServerOn had received venture investments from Cascadia Pacific Management, El Dorado Investment Company, Nth Power, Oregon Life Sciences LLC, Perseus, Siemens Venture Capital, and Ventures West.
