ShareGrid Captures $1M For Film, Photo Equipment Marketplace

Seattle-based ShareGrid, which operates an online, peer-to-peer marketplace which allows users to rent out their idle film and photo equipment, has raised $1M in a funding round, the company said today. The seed funding came from MHS Capital and Archer Gray. ShareGrid says it currently has over 12,000 film and photo professionals using its marketplace in Los Angeles and New York, its pilot cities. The company offers up technology, payments/escrow, ID and insurance verification, customer service, logistics, marketing and other elements of those rentals. More information »
