Sightbox Sees $1.8M

Portland-based Sightbox, a startup which offers up contact lenses and eye exams via subscription, has raised $1.8M in a funding round, the company said last week. The startup, led by Travis Rush, says it is bundling eye exams with an annual supply of contact lenses, combined with payment plans and financing. The funding was led by Rogue Venture Partners and also included Jumpstart Foundry, Portland Seed Fund, and VistaRiver Healthcare Solutions. Sightbox charges $39 per month to individual contact lens wearers. More information »
