Portland-based Simple, the developer of mobile banking applications, has debuted its first Android application, the company announced today. Simple said its new app runs on Android 2.3.3 and higher. Simple is developing both iPhone and Android apps, which allow users to better manage and save their money. The firm is venture backed by IA Ventures, Shasta Ventures, and others. Among features of the Simple app are ways to automate saving for different financial goals, budgeting tools, and more. The firm said it built the Android app as a fully native app designed for Android, rather than translating its iPhone app.
