Smartsheet.com Revs Software, Taps Amazon S3

Bellevue, Washington-based Smartsheet.com, a provider of web-based spreadsheet tools, has released version 2.0 of its online spreadsheet tools, the firm said Thursday. The firm also said that it has added contextual document management features, which are powered by Amazon's S3 Web Service, for its free edition customers. Smartsheet has also tapped Amazon's Mechanical Turk service, which is used to add "human intelligence" to applications for developers, to provide industry templates to its users. Smartsheet provides an online service that allows teams to share spreadsheets and data.
