SnapNames Snagged By Web Marketing Firm

Portland, Oregon-based SnapNames, which provides services for managing and buying expired and deleting domain names, has been acquired. Los Angeles-based Oversee.net said it has acquired SnapNames for an undisclosed amount, in a deal expected to close in June. Oversee.net said that Sudhir Bhagwan, CEO of SnapNames, will continue to operate the firm, and that it will remain headquartered in Portland, Oregon. SnapNames' technology allows buyers to pre-order currently registered domain names when they expire. Oversee.net operates a domain monetization and online marketing and lead generation business.
